Lung Cancer Stage 3b
Mom is suffering from cancer treatments and need help.?

Mom was diagnosed with lung cancer over a year. Year of chemotherapy and radiation. She is in stage 3B. His oncologist told him that if you stop chemotherapy, is giving up. She can not tolerate chemotherapy every two weeks, the blood count is too low. Go for blood transfusion, two days after chemotherapy. Now she can not walk due to weakness in the legs, exhaustion, lack of appetite for 3 days, not drinking fluids, not getting out of bed, on antidepressants, analgesics, anti-anxiety medications, sleeping pills and had noisy cough. Called Hospice. Mom dismissed twice because her oncologist said he had to give up if you follow Hospice. Sis and I are the caregivers and are completely frustrated and sad to see her suffer. Every other professional who has seen it said that this is inhuman, even oncologists colleagues in his office. Assistant oncologists reported to be in Mama Hospice care. Mama loves her doctor and will do everything it teaches. Any suggestions?

Sorry much for you. I just found out that my sister has stage 4 breast cancer. She starts chemo today and I can not imagine what we have before us. Your mother must be a woman very strong. I guess if it was my mother, I would honor only what he wants. If you want to keep fighting to do so. Never lose hope. We lost my father in 2000, after a long illness, and remember well the anxiety and how the experience was draining both physically and mentally. I'm very very sad for his family. Please, I know God has a plan for everything. I wish I could give you a big hug, but I'll pray for you all. God Bless! The Grady Family
